WELLINGTON: A group of New Zealand vegans - people who do not eat any animal products - are shunning sex with meat eaters, claiming their bodies are made up of animal carcasses.
"When you are vegan or vegetarian, you are very aware that when people eat a meaty diet, they are kind of a graveyard for animals," said vegan Nichola Kriek. Another said: "I would not want to be intimate with someone whose body is literally made up from the bodies of others who have died for their sustenance."
Annie Potts, co-director of the New Zealand Centre for Human and Animal Studies at Canterbury University, identified the people she called "vegansexuals" in her research study.

Being a vegetarian is just fine by me. I wouldn’t do it myself, but whatever.
I think, however, that since an overwhelming majority of “preachy” vegans/vegetarians are extreme leftists, people assume all of them are liberal.

So if I follow this correctly the objection to having sex with meat eaters is that people are what they eat. This, I guess, makes the choice one of preferring sex with a warm-blooded herbivore like a cow or bull or instead preferring sex with a turnip.

First - I agree with you to a point. There is nothing inherently leftist or wrong about being a vegan. Freedom is a beautiful thing ... eat whatever you like. But, recognize everyone else’s right to eat whatever THEY like ... including the lightly grilled flesh of a cow, pig or chicken.
The real question IS ... where in the Constitution does it allow anyone to STOP me from killing animals to sustain myself? Evangelical veganism (like evangelical feminism, environmentalism or anything else) is inherently leftist. Freedom is about the right to choose the direction of your own life ... with regard to cuisine choices, gender roles or conservation. Live as you like - drive a Prius, marry a feminist, or eat a salad for every meal if you so desire ... but allow me the same choice.

I ge my beef from a friend who is a frmer in vermont. He's an rganic farmer, not that i give a damn. the meat is red when we slaughter and butcher it, and it's red when i cook it. at no poin is it green, nor injected with any chemicals.
Same goes for the moose my BIL brings in from Maine.

A vegan lifestyle is dependent on not actually having to perform the hard physical labor required to survive AND PROSPER in the natural world. Gorillas and other apes can survive as vegans since they are not required to constantly move quickly or develop any mental ability. They hide in heavy cover from any predators and slowly graze, and retain the IQ of a retarded two-year-old.
When man/apes moved out onto the grasslands, the vegan/apes who wouldn't eat meat quickly died out. The SMART ones ate everything, got even smarter, made fun of vegans and built computers...
