No, pretty straightforward macro photography. For shots like that you don't even need a macro lens, just a simple 50mm prime and some extention tubes.

Heck of a lot easier than photoshop.

It took me three tries to "transfer" the focus in macro mode using the focus lock. ( Nikon COOLPIX )
