I have really come to disklike drinking. Over the past couple of years a few glasses of wine at dinner is about the best I can do. Drinking beer just tastes bad these days.

As a former pot smoker, I would love to be able to sit down and just spark up once in a while. But alas, I cannot afford to take the legal risk and I sure don’t want to be THAT kind of role model to my teenage kids.

That said, I always felt that it should be legalized, taxed, and if you are caught driving on the stuff you should be tossed in jail—no questions, no break.

I think we are too focused on trying to prevent behavior that is personal, and too lenient on bad behanvior that impacts other’s rights and freedoms.

Marijuana laws are like gun laws.

Some people are responsible owners of firearms — some aren’t.

Some people are responsible smokers of ganja — some aren’t.

So, to control the people that aren’t responsible, the government makes the inanimate object (guns, pot, whatever) illegal.
