The first report in the Dutch news on the NOS.nl site simply stated that the woman was of Jugoslavische afkomst presumably meaning that she came from one of the former Yugoslav states. It did not specify which one at that point, hence I translated the word as Yugoslavian. I felt it was better to give readers an approximation at least of where the woman was from rather than no indication whatsoever. I imagine this was the Dutch news sources motivation as well. Stories usually come out piece-wise, we dont have every specific from the very beginning. It has since emerged that the woman is from Kosovo.
