"A woman of Yugoslavian descent?" Why are they obfuscating on that point, I wonder?

The woman was from Kosovo.

I received this from an Expatica news editor.

"Thanks for your question. The first report in the Dutch news – on the NOS.nl site – simply stated that the woman was of “Jugoslavische afkomst” – presumably meaning that she came from one of the former Yugoslav states. It did not specify which one at that point, hence I translated the word as “Yugoslavian.” I felt it was better to give readers an approximation at least of where the woman was from rather than no indication whatsoever. I imagine this was the Dutch news source’s motivation as well. Stories usually come out piece-wise, we don’t have every specific from the very beginning. It has since emerged that the woman is from Kosovo. This will be included in an updated version of the story later in the day. "
At last check the news article hasn't been updated.

Safe money says she isn’t an Albanian Moslem but one of their many victims from Kosovo.
