As the hostage saga continues, anti-US sentiment in South Korea is rising, with local people angry that Washington has not stepped in to help.

I'm sorry for the circumstance, but did Washington send them there? Why not use some of that angry sentiment against the TERRORISTS and get your own people for crying out loud, we have a war to conduct.

If I were the S. Korean president, I would be sending about 15,000 troops to the area to look for my citizens. They aren't helpless. He is elected for some purpose. If they are an ally, why aren't they over there already?

They don't need the US to do their dirty work. Perhaps some ROK Marines could go over and show the Taliban some will not play footsie while they murder their citizens. I'm sick of American GI's having to spill their blood to do "honey do's", for the other spineless peoples on this planet. The Koreans will protest America and burn flags when we won't or can't do what they should be doing in the first place. Same with the people that don't like Sudan. If you don't like it, send your own damn troops.
