My cousin's son was pulling people out of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. He was a volunteer moving a friend's sister out of an apartment. Three cheers for my cousin's kid and apparently, the media has been calling their house constantly. The kid's been on Fox - Morning, Shep, Edie Donahey, Nancy Grace, Larry King, local news. I'm gonna google him for myself but not giving out his name. Geraldo is absent so far on the bridge disaster. He hasn't come near my relative or on scene at all. Maybe tonight he'll show up in scuba gear on Fox.
His mom barely missed being on the bridge but her work pkg space was stolen so she had to park further from work downtown. It took her an additional five minutes to get to her car after work. She's lucky to be alive.
Watching the video of the collapse, the cars that didn't make it were swept up with water and then slammed down back onto the concrete. The water wasn't that deep either. It was horrific. I had no idea the Misssissippi was so brown.
