Hype? A 17 yo girl is playing slap & tickle with her 19 yo boyfriend. How does that rise to the level of homicide? Because that's what the father was trying to do. Kill him.
An adult that has A) No more understanding of the consequences of attempted murder, and B) Has so little self control that he goes postal and starts shooting in such a manner that he could easily have killed his daughter, is not to be excused here.
As a matter of fact, for all we know he could have been trying to shoot both of them. Rationalize that.
Absolutely completely 100% wrong: If your spouse or responsible kid (17 yr. old definitely counts) invites someone into your house, they are NOT an intruder and you cannot shoot them for being there. Sheesh.
oh baloney - the problems that allowed her to make this decision in the first place began long ago and no amount of violence will fix them. the guy deserves a long jail sentence.
