Gutsy Mayor Exposes National “Gay” Public Sex Scandal

CWA Calls on Local Law Enforcement to Crack-Down on Illegal and Widespread Public Health Problem – Launches YouTube Support Video

Washington, D.C. – Fort Lauderdale, Florida Mayor Jim Naugle has been under rapid fire assault from homosexual activists and liberal media for asking people simply to obey the law and to be responsible and respectful to families and children. Recently, Mayor Naugle exposed a popular “gay” community website that serves as an online directory which both encourages and facilitates illegal, public and anonymous “gay” sex. The Mayor was particularly upset that this activity is taking place at two children’s parks in Fort Lauderdale.

Matt Barber, Policy Director for Cultural Issues with Concerned Women for America (CWA), is both an attorney and former law enforcement officer who, in that capacity, has witnessed such behavior first-hand. While addressing the growing problem, Barber said, “We strongly suggest that local law enforcement authorities across America use this ‘cruising for sex’ website to identify the locations where this immoral and disease-spreading behavior is taking place.

“Such anonymous sexual liaisons create a public health problem and are reportedly occurring in public restrooms throughout communities across America in areas including, but not limited to, children’s parks, Barnes and Noble book stores, Home Depot stores, Bally Total Fitness health clubs, airports and many other locations. The website lists the locations referred to as “cruisy toilets” by the homosexual community. Participants are invited to – and frequently do – comment on their sexual experiences at these locations.

“Local law enforcement officials should consider how they might feel if their own children were to walk in on such activity while visiting a family park or other public area. This whole matter is revealing of the mindset of the radical homosexual movement. Members of the activist community in Fort Lauderdale and elsewhere are actually coming out in defense of public “gay” sex. The homosexual legal group, LAMBDA Legal calls such public sex a civil right in their “little black book,” and encourages such behavior. And a consortium of homosexual activist groups is calling on Mayor Naugle to resign or be censured for addressing the problem. On the upside, this controversy is finally serving to expose the extreme radical homosexual activists,” concluded Barber.

CWA has launched a campaign in support of Mayor Naugle, including the introduction of a YouTube support video.

public sex a civil right

This is a really stupid group of people. If they would just go about their day, shut the heck up, enjoy sex in their OWN home they would not have any problems (well except with God but that is for another thread). Why must they be so dang arrogant? They are lucky that they don’t have to worry about being arrested anymore having sex in their homes. Why can’t they appreciate what they have and leave everyone else alone!!!

That they can't comprehend such logic is simply astounding. Further, it's not as though we heterosexuals are out there screwing in public places---what sort of "civil right" is the "right to have sex in a public place?"

To start, publish out a resource to back his claims for the acts (i.e. police reports, formal complaints, eyewitness reports), and do not deviate from this being the issue. Don’t let the gay activists portray this as an anti-gay thing. Always reiterate that this is about sex in inappropriate places.

email from a gay activist in that area (my question, their response):

Q: So just how is enforcing laws against having sex in public places somehow hateful and / or intolerant? Could someone please explain this to me?

A: The answer to your question. It is not at all hateful or intolerant. We all support the police and the fact that NO one should be having sex in the bathrooms or any other public place.

The problem is...to blame one group of people in a community for a problem that does not exists, or is a problem that concerns everyone...gay, straight, black, white, rich and poor...that is bigotry...that is hateful...and it will not be tolerated. Certainly not from someone who is elected to serve all the people in a community.

So just to be clear.

No one, certainly no one at the rally today making noise about the Mayors comments and actions...

NO one from UNITE Fort Lauderdale, NO ONE is FOR public sex for anyone or any group.

Thank you for your question, hope this clears up the Mayors dirty and wrongful spin on the issue.

If you are a public figure and stand up against the gay and lesbian agenda they will try to destroy you.
Politically correct thinking run amok.
All I say is what are you going to do and how are you going to feel when you come home and some old queer is trying to seduce your son?

You are right about that. You know before I was very neutral about the whole thing and did not give them much thought if at all, but since joining FREE REPUBLIC and finding out what they are expecting and the behavior that they show, I have kind of change my neutral feelings to more of negative feelings. And I don’t feel to bad about it because they did it to themselves 100 percent.

So let me get this straight...

The government needs to stay out of the bedroom of homosexuals and honor their privacy.

But society needs to give them the same “rights” as everybody else in terms of their “relationships”.

Lastly the government needs to back off enforcing the law when their “bedrooms” become the very public places and their private matters are on display for children to see...

I think I understand this, and I am going to fight them on it.

If all those caught are homosexuals, isn’t that then a form of harrassment and prejudice (i.e. you just don’t try to catch the straights having sex kinda like profiling of blacks, arabs, etc.)

It kind of sounds like the muslim's response to law enforcement against terrorism. And it also sounds like if you don't go after straight, black, white, rich and poor just as much as gays doing the same thing, then you shouldn't go after gays. This kind of logic I don't understand at all.

As soon as they start talking about morality they immediately get classified as religious fundamentalists -- and sometimes rightly so. I have no problem with what these people do in private, I'm not even going to slap a morality label on the issue. But they cross the line by having sex in public.

That is the interesting point. NOBODY is disputing that heterosexual sex is not acceptable in public restrooms. It is just homosexuals who are now claiming the public restroom recreation as an entitlement.

The fact they are defending it is just plain stupid is as stupid does.

Barnes & Noble book stores are ‘queer qruising’ sites ? ? ?

That can easily be dealt with by American book buyers. I suggest Borders, Books-A-Million, etc. When sales drop off, Barnes & Noble management will get the message - specifically, the messsage that customes want a book store, NOT a queer meat market.

I suggest book buyers who found the ‘queer qrowd’ to be offensive were to take their selections to the counter, call for the manager, then tell the manager why they were going to Barnes & Noble’s competition for the same books.

Never mind “Sue The B*stards” - Boycott The B*stards!

Uhhh... I think the problem is in taking the CWFA release at face value. I have followed the Ft. Lauderdale situation fairly closely, and I haven’t heard anyone declaring that there is a right to public sex for either gays or straights. The disagreement seems to come between the mayor, who sees a major epidemic of public sex in the city and wants to kick off a big initiative to combat it (including the infamous $250,000 toilets), and the protesters who point to the fact that there have only been four arrests in the past three years and suggest that the money is best spent otherwise.

I haven’t heard anyone defending the folks who were arrested for public exposure.

For starters, try ‘does not “exist”’ rather than ‘does not “exists”. That self announced queer spokesperson also speakes/writes queerly.

Or, perhaps it is simply because he was a product of a public school in FloriDUH.

Who knows? Who cares?

You're kidding, right? I have witnessed heterosexuals having oral sex in public at Disneyworld. I have stumbled upon hetersexuals having sex at a local park and in the dunes at the beach. And I know heterosexuals who have had sex on planes, trains, parks, beaches, dressing rooms, and the last row of the upper deck of a very famous baseball stadium.

Honestly, it boggles the mind. If it were only homos, and not heteros, getting busted having anonymous sex in public bathrooms, they might have a point, but I think the next time a hetero couple goes at it in a public bathroom will be the first. Those things smell like easter egg factories.

By making sure our local law enforcement arrest, tries and convicts these sickos everyplace they are.

This isn’t anything new, what is new is that this guy’s talking about it.

This sort of behavior has been going on ever since the first movements to “normalize” homosexual behavior have been if not before.

Back in my college in the early 90s they had to remove all the doors from all the stalls in the mens bathrooms in one of the buildings because the sodomites had taken to using it for this purpose.

Routinely they are caught engaging in such activities in parks and highway rest stops... but remember, they are just like the rest of us.... NOT!

Homosexuality is a mental disorder.

I was surprised to find out a few years ago that a pretty wonderful semi-wilderness park in a small suburb of San Antonion that entertained weekend scout jamborees, countless birthday parties for children and housed a Little League ballpark has now become the favorite haunt of homosexual men seeking partners.

A girlfriend took me on a daytime drive through the park and it revealed car after car of gay men, some of whom were obviously gay prostitutes hawking their services and other cars with suspicious-looking activities going on. God knows what it must be like at night.

Apparently the local police can’t or won’t do anything.
