Often our military is criticized, but I’ve known forever, of all our government institutions, it is the military that most teaches me what real freedom is. Despite the bravado of some people, there is no civilian power in this nation that could possibly stop the military if it had any intention to seize power. Their undisputed love for our nation and Constitution is why we are free. The greatest power the military burdens itself with is restraint.
A poll released in June showed the well deserved respect for the military is widespread. Of all the major institutions in the country, people polled gave the military the highest honors in confidence. Yeah, the dates overlap. I think the caravan will be well on it’s way to DC by the time of our picnic. We should be able to see them off though.
I dropped a quarter in March when I was there at the coffee shop and it rolled under the coke machine.
The waitress called the other day and said she found it, so I am going to pick it up.
I will be coming through Fresno on Sept 4th though
