He didn’t say “went out and interviewed.” he said he’d “heard from” those folks. And as someone with a national column and a functioning e-mail address, I’m sure he has. Right here on FR, I’ve heard from a couple of folks — only a couple — who insist that animal fighting is a vital part of Southern culture, and the outrage against it is more evidence of the yankeefied wussification of America.

But did they identify themselves as "country boys" or "rednecks"? I doubt it.

Can’t argue with that post except I’d like to hear of his sources. The wussification of America is especially true. As evidence, look at the post before this one that I’ve replied to at number 27.
