RICHMOND, Va. - The difference between those sporting Michael Vick jerseys and those urging his swift conviction on dogfighting charges is glaring: Vick’s supporters are mostly black; his critics are mostly white.
The racial divide emerged early in the case against the Atlanta Falcons quarterback, apparent at rallies filled with cheering — and overwhelmingly black — Vick supporters and at anti-Vick protests that are noticeably white.
Vick’s opponents say the evidence against him is overwhelming. For many black supporters, that judgment evokes uncomfortable questions about race and guilt in America.
“White folks 'been grindin’ on an ax ... and that ax ain’t got sharp enough for them,” said Earnest Hardy Sr., who called the case a witch hunt targeting a successful black man.

The majority of blacks polled thought OJ was being framed by “Whitey”.
The majority of whites polled thought OJ was guilty as sin.
The most interesting part among blacks polled was that those with a college education (and greater) were more convinced of OJ’s guilt than blacks who had a high school education or less.
however, perhaps some smart whip on one of the animal rights cults could take him to civil court and get his millions.......

I see little if any white “cheerleading”, or whites complaining that the only reasons so and so is being charged with a crime is because he’s white.
On the other hand there are many blacks programmed to give the response the media loves so they can stir the racial pot, unfortunately it doesn’t take long to find someone to say they’re after Vick because he’s black, etc.
Does anyone remember the celebration of the OJ verdict at Howard University? That was the most disguisting thing I’ve ever seen, the racial programming and predictablility of response to by blacks to any and all subjects concerning race is disheartening and I’m sure embarassing to black people who choose not to be clones.
I don’t have a rooting interest for my criminals, I want the guilty convicted. I want Michael Vick to do hard time, torturing animals is for sick minds, you have to turn part of your humanity off to allow it. It seems the underclass, black and white like dogfights and it has been glamourized in rap videos.

I don’t understand how this can possibly be a race issue. The victims aren’t even human. Leave it to the blactivists to pick a real loser like this to organize around. Forget high levels of poverty, high dropout rates, and terrible marriage rates, lets get pissed off about a slimeball dogfighter getting charged.

Yes, I have an ax to grind, that being it’s disgusting that some people don’t see anything wrong with using dogs to kill each other. What the heck is wrong with this world? I have a friend who lived in the bad part of town, and she told me she had to be careful for fear her dog would be stolen and used to train the dogs who fight. I thought that was horrible. The bad part of town has it’s share of gangs. What a horrible culture, it’s so negative, and I hate to say it, but very unmanly. How can anyone call himself a man and abuse innocent animals?

I am sick of dumb people too, I wish that the gang culture would stop glorifying stupid, ignorant behavior. They were obviously raised by immoral mothers, because only a fatherless person raised by a such a mother could be created by that mess! Many blacks thought it was OK for OJ to murder two people, why would anybody think they wouldn’t be just fine with Vick having a dog fight?
