Coming from the person who started this thread with an article followed by numerous links to "Stuff that other people have said about Ron Paul" is beyond caricature. Your incompetence at this kind of thing is hilarious, but I feel like I'm kicking a cripple.

You began your entire argument on this thread with a puerile "Appeal to Ridicule" Logical Fallacy.

I have treated you like the logical infant that you are, ever since.

What is there among Ron Paul’s policy prescriptions that the young William F. Buckley would have disagreed with? ~~http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=MDkyYzdkNDNjM2QzMmI1NGEzZmEzYWRjYzQ0OTgxNmU=&w=MA==

So I post MULTIPLE examples of what your candidate has said...and I'm posting what other people say.

YOU post an article about him and...

Why am I talking logic to someone who supports a Libertarian John Birch-type who thinks 9-11 was brought on by the US, wants to retreat in the face of islamofascism, and who appears on Alex Jones' radio show?

Again - who’s your pastor? What’s his theory on “the just war”?

OMG one you wade through the Ron Paul websites and get to the source you note that is is indexed by dollar amount. DOLLAR AMOUNT, not # of individuals.

I just wasted my time doing the same thing. It is not related in any way (zero, zilch, nada) to military support. Less than $7,000.00 out of the entire armed forces, is notable?

His idiot supporters who, when someone RIGHTLY points out Paul's position on the war, calls him a supporter of terrorists.

Here are the facts:

So, tell me -- WHY do you believe that the US Federal Government should give Military and Financial support to these Terrorist Scumbags?

Why is it that you support these American-Murdering Terrorists, Wolf?

Please do explain.

You began your entire argument on this thread with a puerile "Appeal to Ridicule" Logical Fallacy.

Someone's read a couple of big words.

No--I began by telling the truth about your candidate. Your attempts to pretend you know big words (you're misusing them, too, btw) only make you look really, really silly.

You can't handle debate without quotes and typographic silliness, and you call people who point out Paul's position terrorist supporters. Go back to watching your cartoons, Bircher.

I read that article. Nice cherry picking.

“We-e-ell. We all have nits to pick, though we wouldn’t all pick the same ones. The gold standard? Wasn’t it going off the gold standard that gave us full control over the wilder swings of the business cycle? Which was, like, a good idea? I am by no means as willing to surrender to the collective wisdom of modern economists as Bryan Caplan wants me to be, but — the gold standard? Come on. And stopping the War on Drugs? Where would that take us? — Philip Morris brands of crack cocaine available over the counter at Walgreens? You pick your own nits.”

.....

“Imagine, for example, President Ron II trying to push his bill to abolish the IRS through Congress. Congress! — whose members eat, drink, breathe and live for the wrinkles they can add to the tax code on behalf of their favored interest groups! Or imagine him trying to kick the U.N. parasites out of our country. Think of the howls of outrage on behalf of suffering humanity from all the lefty academics, MSM bleeding hearts, love-the-world flower children, Eleanor Roosevelt worshippers, and bureaucratic globalizers!

Ain’t gonna happen. It was, after all, a conservative who said that politics is the art of the possible. Ron Paul is not possible. His candidacy belongs to the realm of dreams, not practical politics. But, oh, what sweet dreams!

Reality. Keep throwing your support behind candidates and platforms who don’t have a snowball’s chance of winning anything. Then complain how the Republican party left you because they can’t get anything done. How many times have we heard “grow a pair” with regard to GWB? please.

Ronnie Reagan understood and excelled at the art of political compromise. It sucks, but it is the only way things will get done. Abolishing the DOE and IRS is just never going to happen. I hope you understand that

I notice your name, Orthodox Presbyterian.

I was raised in such a Church, and I was on the wrong path until I became a Pentecostal...

The Presbyterian Church that I am familiar with, are for abortion/homosexuality, not to mention that they simply failed to actually invite Jesus into their lives. This was my experience with the Presbs.

I'm still waiting for some eleaboration on "Ron Paul believes in Christian Just War Theory", Paul's comments on this as well as the Presbyterian position.

“...you may want to consider that military personnel and their families are just voting with their donations.”

Or it could be that other candidates don’t count military donation separately from other donations.

Personally, I believe its an outright lie. Ron Paul polls at the bottom of every poll ever taken anywhere. The big babies who support him, seem to overlook the logical quandry thus presented: If RP polls at the bottom, why would he be first in military support?
The answer is obvious, RP is NOT first...this is a lie.

I’d think the spouse could use the servicemember’s name and rank if it’s a joint account. But, I don’t know. I haven’t donated to a political candidate since Lazio ran against Hillary.

They most certainly cannot do that. Where it states “occupation” it means the party contributing.

“I’m still waiting for some elaboration on “Ron Paul believes in Christian Just War Theory”, Paul’s comments on this as well as the Presbyterian position.”

I can help you there. It means that Ron Paul will NOT defend this country. Nor will he uphold our military alliances. In short, Ron Paul will stab our friends in the back, and support our enemies. He will do NOTHING in Iran and sit idly by while Israel is nuked.

Again, you don’t know that, and name calling those who support RP is childish.

I’ll take your word for it but I’m sure there are ways to get around it, especially over the phone or on the internet.
