No, not in favor of that.
Deport = Sent back to their home country. They are never allowed to return to U.S. soil. No of their family or immediate relatives are ever allowed to return to U.S. soil. If they have assests in the U.S. those are liquidated and returned to them. They are never allowed to have any holdings whatsoever in the U.S. Anything else I can think of short of your suggestion.
My definition may be a little extreme.
However, when you consider the fact that some of the Gitmo combatants have been let go and sent to back to their respective countries, only to be captured or killed on the battle field. The letting them go approach does not seem to work. Whats great is, we use the approach everyday with illegal immigrants coming into this country and being banned from coming back, only to have them back here within a few weeks. So sending them back and expecting them to never come back is not a good solution either. Besides, the ACLU would be all over this.
