TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Arrogant powers oppose Iran and its progress due to the Iranian nation's independence and justice-seeking, a California University professor said.
Professor Hossein Sohrabi, a renowned Iranian surgeon teaching at California University, said that the world is today witnessing that Iran has grown into a power which makes its decisions independently, "and this is the underlying cause of oppositions to Iran's access to science and technology."
He further said that the world is today divided into two groups of countries, namely, "imperialist and anti-imperialist nations".
"The anti-imperialist countries are those which strive to be independent and resist against oppression and cruelty and this constitutes the root cause of the opposition of hegemonic states to such countries and nations as Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, North Korea and the like," Sohrabi added.
Reminding that production of CO2 has become the major problem of the advanced countries, he said, "Iran has also moved on the same path and acquired the technology for nuclear fuel production to use nuclear power plants and the world should be proud of this achievement."
He said West is opposing Iran because it intends to form a monopoly over science and technology.
The university professor called on Iran to resist pressures and try to overcome problems and enemies by resorting to the same means and methods that enemies use.
Imperialism was first invented in what is now Iran.

Maybe if you lived in Colorado you'd have an inkling. But in order to really get the level of anti-American hatred that is in California, you'd have to live here.
There are University of California and California State University systems. The only “California University” I can find is California University of Pennsylvania.
Where is “California University”?

The only science and technology in Iran is what they steal or purchase. They don’t generate anything from within.
There is no such thing as "California University." For an appointment in surgery, there would be only three to chose: University of California at San Francisco or Los Angeles or Davis.
