The initial take-over of the Abu Hanifa Mosque occurred at approximately 2 p.m., apparently triggered by news that terrorists had murdered two relatives of a prominent local sheik. As the news spread, angry residents joined the sheik to storm the mosque, long-believed to be a sanctuary for terrorists operating in the area, and ousted the suspected terrorists inside from the building.

Of course the Jihadis have been using the mosque for three or four years now and if they hadn't violated the tribal ethos, they'd still have a hiding place.

Precisely. And a helluva lot of people, including a huge number on this very board, will give the hajis a pass since they were so brave and really want to take their country back. Spare me. They all should've been stuffed into that mosque together and a couple of JDAMs dropped on it.
