I’ll grant you that atheists do not go door to door. The people who’ve arrived at my door have been very nice and have taken “no” for an answer. It’s not a hard sell. These people appear to have a live and let live policy. They are very tolerant.

It seems to me that the people that who are the most insistent, and sometimes the most insulting, are the atheists. Think of Christopher Hitchens, or Dawkins. They are the ones who are not content to have their opinion, and to respectfully leave others to their opinion. Of course, I’m not talking about all atheists, just the more strident. This is my experience both personally and through print and other media. It's a limited sample, but my own.
