The left is screwed. They thought they were grandstanding for a 55% base, but they only now have the support of their 33% hard-core constituency, who is even now drawing the dagger on them. They forgot *on purpose* how they picked up the blue dog contingent and slickstered their house win.
They struck the king, but didn't kill him.
The soon-coming V-AQ day will exile them as the traitor rats they are and worked their fingers to the bone to warrant.
