Most ballplayers get a bigger can, thighs & paunch as they age. While I can understand a certain amount of additional muscle-mass up top due to modern off-season weight-training programs, I can’t accept the size of his head. There’s no overlooking that.
Aaron not only had to put up with all the infamous BS surrounding his homerun chase, he had to put up with negative comparisons with other contemporaries -- notably Willie Mays.
Aaron was not a flashy player. He never hit more than 50 HRs in a season. He was almost always overlooked until he got close to Ruth (that's my recollection from my Little League days). Maybe it would have been different if Hank had played for the Big Red Machine, the LA Dodgers, Weaver's Baltimore Orioles, or the Oakland A's. Hank only got his due when he got the record. Now he doesn't even have that.
I have not seen any real comparison of Bond's head size over the years or its possible cause. You have no scientific basis to make assertions that Bond's head has doubled in size and that it is caused by the use of steroids. You have evaded the quesitons I have posed to you, i.e., What medical evidence, aside from prenatal use of steroids, is there that shows that adults will increase their head size if they use steroids? How does it work? Does the cranium enlarge along with the brain? What about the size of the mandible?

When I was 22, I weighed 160 (at 5’10). At 38, I’ve been bouncing between 200 and 210, and not too pear-shaped for it. Am I all ‘roided up, too?
Dont know. Are you having someone apply a cream that you dont know what it is?
World-class athletes work very hard to be able to achieve greatness. There is no proven direct correlation on how steroid use would allow an athlete to mash a baseball. It take great vision, lots of practice, etc.
From what I see, steroids kill or severely disable people who use them. Cancer, madness, atrophy of testes, stroke.
What media has done is burn into the minds of young people that steroids assist you to become a superstar (which is a lie).
Media has done this to only Barry Bonds because he disses them. He ignores them, does not bow and scrape. Calls 5’6” Costas a “midget”. (LOL)
Bonds is a great hitter. One of the best ever. The difference is that his long flyballs go out. That helps his BA, Slugging percentage & on-base percentage as well as the obvious HR stat. All those numbers for Bonds have been in the stratosphere the last 4 years. THAT is freakish in itself for a player his age. Put that next to his apparent head size & his physical proximity to the BALCO scandal & you have a heckuva circumstancial case.
What size does for a high school athlete is get you noticed. You get a kid who weighs 280 plus & plays on the line & he immediately gets the college scouts salivating. That's the problem with steroids. The affect it has on kids too young to make responsible decisions.
Ok, pal, take a deep breath and have a nice life.
That's the product of 16 years of disciplined workouts & probably a good diet as well. Bonds made most of his size gains over the span of 3 years, including a huge jump in 1 off-season (the 3rd year). Even his Giant teammates commented on that fact. No you're not 'roided up, but the evidence against Bonds' size-gains being the product of a natural workout program is pretty strong.
Thanks. Now my office-mates are wondering why I’m laughing while I’m looking up client information. ROFL
