Fred made it clear from the start that he didn’t want to spend two years running for President, (not at 64 and with small children)...he wants to spend time with them...once he wins, his time will be limited. The Law and Order reruns run out early in Sept., and he couldn’t announce before then, or TV stations that ran L and O would have to offer equal time to all other candidates. This isn’t rocket science, it’s easy to see what Fred’s been trying to do. And it’s been explained before, more than once. Either you missed those threads or you’re for another candidate. And if the latter, why not say so? (I’d rather learn something positive about other republican candidates than the same old brickbats hurled at Fred.)

“Brilliant” where did you come up with this name?

Edward’s has little too no chance of winning, Obama could pull it off on a long shot, that leaves Hillary who has the machine, money and Billy Boy. Unless they catch her with a 14 year old girl she will be the Dem’s nominee.

On the GOP side it is down to FT, Rom and Giuli.

Giuliani is doing well(not because he is well-liked) but because many people think he can compete with Hillary, Romney for the same reason.

That leaves FT. Once the conservative base sees he is in it for real and believe he can beat Hillary there will be a ground swell for him. Money will be the least of his problems.

Brilliant maybe you should change your name to Blind or Accountant because your reasoning is broken.

I care not who you support- thank God we live in America.
But get your facts correct.

Where are you, here in the Lone Star State?

I think you were closer to me when you were in S Dak! Brownsville? Hit 35 and drive north until you smell Oklahoma....I'm 15 miles south of the Red River. Great to have you as a fellow Texan. We need more like you.

In 2000 the then Gov. Bush won the Iowa Caucuses but got smashed by McCain in NH. So boots on the ground may be the most influential method to use there.

Since we didn't have President McCain, the win in NH couldn't have been THAT influential.

I would announce my candidacy and make an appearance in the debates.

If there were any real debates, I might agree. Most folks, even Republicans aren't watching them.

I don’t want to rub this in too hard, but let me just remind you that Fred did not meet his own fund-raising goal last quarter

There are several stories repeating this, but does anyone know FOR SURE what the fund-raising goal actually was?

First, they said “May,” then “June,” then “July.”

Some in the MSM said that; even some conservatives. I've never heard anyone in Fred's campaign actually say, because they didn't have the info from him, yet.

I didn’t say the win was ‘influential’. I said the boots on the ground maybe the most effective way to campaign in NH and that is what McCain campaigned there.

Well at least I will be able to live with myself knowing I did the RIGHT thing.

I'm not going to vote for someone because I think they can beat the Hildabeast, I'm going to vote for someone that I believe in.

But you go ahead, vote for the Rino's it makes no diff to me.

Many repubs are wringing their hands and saying, “Fred’s waiting too long to get into the race.”

He’s dumb as a fox when it comes to the timing issue. Most of America won’t engage until next summer. Fred’s trying to avoid “overexposure” and “candidate fatigue.”

What NH primary victors who then won the presidency formally declared before September? Any? Ever?

Bush, 2004. But, then, he was uncontested.
