I knew this had to be THAT son, not the other one...genetics isn’t everything.
And we miss Ronald Reagan as well.

I never knew either of my grandfathers. I like to think of Reagan as my surrogate grandfather. He certainly shaped a great part of who I am today, who I married and how we are raising our children.

We all miss Ronnie and need him now more than ever! He makes the vast majority of those calling themselves politicians look like the morons they are. When compared to Reagan, the Liberals in Congress show themselves to be the traitors they are. His ability to stand up to his critics and the MSM is desperately missed and needed.

I thought his son was very liberal? Not to say he doesn’t miss them, and thinks greatly of his father...
But I thought his political difference would lead to different comments on his contributions...but perhaps I don’t know enough about Michael to comment. Ron was definitely a man for his time.

I had to look at the post to see if it was his real son or little Ronnie.
We all miss Ronald Reagan.
Michael is a good son.

I have heard Michael give his story and his Christian testimony (which includes his father) on a few occasions - and I am touched by it every time. It is such a shame that Ronald Reagan was not known like we know him now - back when he was still capable of seeing it for himself.
WE truly don’t know what we have until it is gone. Although Reagan was by no means a perfect man, nor a perfect president, he was a man of honor, integrity, and love. I just hope that all who had the privilege to know him personally never take that part of their life for granted.

I’ve always believed that Bill Clinton would not have survived impeachment if Ronald Reagan had not been incapacitated by Alzheimer’s. There is no way he would have sat silently as Bush the Elder did while his former office was disgraced like that. You know that The Gipper would have stepped up to another microphone that he paid for as he did in New Hampshire and taken control of the situation. Alas.

I read the Reagan Diaries and had to laugh at different times by the humor of the one liners RR included.
Good read for RR admirers.

The primary contribution a father makes to his son or daughter is not the one residing in his DNA. The primary contribution a father makes to his children is being a FATHER.
Mike Reagan is truly his fathers son.
My family took in the child of my step-mom’s sister at the age of 11. It was amazing seeing him become one of us, telling the same stories, adopting the same mannerisms, steeped in the same values. He is my brother as much as my brother who I share the same genetics with.
