Bush has been somewhat successful in countering the MSM drive by editorial negativity I suppose we cannot know what might have been, but if this is "success", I'd sure hate to see "failure".

I’d agree with you but it could be worse.
As low as the Bush approval ratings are, screamed daily by the drive by media, look at the approval ratings of congress. If polls are to believed (not my favorite subject) approval of the wot and the situation in Iraq in general is on the up swing. Much to the disbelief of the media pundits.
Personality wise, Bush is a nice man and the public knows that.
Contrast failure with success, the media have utterly failed in their quest to demonize Bush, a tactic they succeeded in accomplishing with Nixon.
