The official line. I also have a friend in NASA security that sez congress has already investigated it twice and both times said they were operating within the law. Whiners

This doesn't seem to be a whole lot different than getting hired at NASA during the 70's we had FBI agents visit our neighbors and ask about us.

My husband got a black security badge in the late 70's or early 80's and we went through the same thing again. It's what you have to do to work there.

“Issued based on sound criteria for verifying an individual’s identify; Strongly resistant to identity fraud, tampering, counterfeiting, and terrorist exploitation; Able to rapidly authenticate electronically; and Issued only by providers whose reliability has been established by an official accreditation process.” And faster than a speeding locomotive! It’s Super Smart Card!
