He’s one of the few Dems I can respect.
Same here. I didn't agree with his position on most of the issues that were important to me at the time he was in the Senate, but he seemed like a decent enough guy. Quite unlike the moonbatty crowd that's running the Congressional show now. I will pray for his recovery, no one should have to die of cancer.
I am learning that cancer is a brutal enemy. My 41 year old son was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma. He's on chemotherapy and doing well on it so far thank God, although we aren't yet used to seeing him bald. His oncologist says his cancer is a type that usually responds well to chemo and that he has a very good 10 year prognosis.
One other problem is that he's an airline pilot, and according FAA rules he won't be able to fly a commercial aircraft until his cancer has been cured or in remission for one full year. Of course he has a mortgage and all the other usual bills that a family with 2 kids has, and his wife's small business will be their only source of income for at least a year after his sick pay runs out.
I have never asked for anything like this in the 9 years I have been Freeping, but I would greatly appreciate anyone who will join me in offering a prayer for his full recovery.

Not if you lived in Maine. He helped decimate our paper industry.
