Let me see if I understand your point.
We pinpoint where Osama and the boys are. We ask Pakistan's permission & they tell us to go pound sand.
We take out Osama and his boys. And then we keep quite about it. We don't tell our citizens that the guys who did what they did to us have finally been brought to justice? The Pakistanis don't know their territory was violated by infidels? They prefer to be learn that we would do that after the fact rather than be told up front?

If you really know where Osama and the boys are, you quietly take them out. After a couple of weeks, and the kills are confirmed, you let the world know that they are dead and thank the Pakistani authorities for their help - whether or not they even knew about it.

The same would go for Iran.

And neither is going to make much stink about OBL being killed in their country because they can’t take the heat of providing sanctuary to OBL out in the open.
