snugs, the media in America went into continuous election mode the day after the polls closed in November 2000. They only want to focus forward, because they cannot bear the reality of a Republican in the White House. “Hillary” has probably been the most used word on political talk/news shows since the day after the 2006 elections. It has been nauseating, and I am afraid, will change our political process forever.

The coldest I’ve ever been was in San Francisco.

Maybe because I was too stupid to take a proper jacket. I had a few light wraps.

One night we had just walked UP that curvy road, can’t remember it’s name, it will come to me (hah).

I was exhausted and flopped down on some steps up to a house. I was wearing every wrap I had brought with me, all layered like a homeless person. I had a scarf on my head I had purchased from a street vendor.

A nice-looking woman walked by, glanced at me, and did a double take. I noticed her hesitation. I knew exactly what she was thinking.

Just as I expected her to get out a dollar and drop it in my lap, she thought better of it and walked on.

Oh, well.

Oh, I remember that. I also remember fighting to GET Rush on AFRATS in the first place back in 1995. It was the new Republican-controlled Congress that finally got him for us.

He used to come on at 18:00 in Kaiserslautern. I would go down to my den and tell the wife not to bother me for an hour! It was sad to lose him after that first hour.

Did the MTP session include any discussion of Kos’ homophobic article from 1993, while he was in the military? I would like to know when he had his “On the Road to Damascus” moment, or if he still feels that way.

This was the Clinton's way of governing and they were open about it.  Sidney "Grassy Knoll" Blumenthal had written a book The permanent campaign and this was their ideal of how to get what they wanted done.

Bush was bound and determined to avoid that and get back to actually governing, doing the job he was hired to do.  And he's been bashed for "not fighting back" way too often for my taste on that ground.  Yes, I'd like to see him be more aggressive at times, but I knew what I was getting when I voted for him both times.

I keep waiting for an interviewer to ask a leftie, who claims to be a moderate or centrist, to name the people/organizations that he sees to the left of his own position.

The only saving grace for me ws the Podcast.

He gets one hour...AP radio news...CNN radio news and other left leaning news outlets get free reign the rest of the time on the network and we won’t even start on the editorial content and the Moonbat LTE’s in Stars and Stripes.

Yet for the Liberals...it’s STILL not enough.

(Chris Wallace is jealous because Mike Wallace put Chris on top of the car for trips, but Chris didn’t have as nice a container to ride in.)

They’ll calim stereotypes and talk about how they try not to engage in the demogoguery of the Right and how they view themselves more as in tune with the majority of America.

In short they’ll do everything they can to avoid answering the question.

After watching and listening to Mitt Romney this AM I am quite comfortable with his candidacy. I think that Rudy is the best person for winning the primaries because he knows how to beat Hillary, plus I also like him. I think the best person to BE the president, is Mitt Romney. There is my current BEAT THE RATS ticket, Mitt the pragmatic executive who loves America, and Rudy, the no holds barred street fighter who loves America. They both have their strengths and could use them to the maximum for the US.

I can remember before she was running for Senator in Britain the political pundits were discussing about the possibility of her running for President in 2008. I think the media both sides of the pond are bedazzled by the Clintons heaven knows why. Though I suppose they suck up to the media and are always good for sound bite or as they put general interest segment.

Might that be Lombard Street?

http://www.reliablerides.com/images/lombard%20street.jpeg

What most people don't know is that there's a near twin to Lombard over in the Potrero district on Vermont Street.  It's right next to the highway and not an upscale neighberhood, by any stretch of the imagination (at least it wasn't 30 years ago), but it's a very similar drive.  My friend, who grew up in that area, used to take me driving in his rebuilt Porsche Speedster late at night taking that street at high speeds.  That'll wake you up!

We lived over on the coast, just south of the city line, in a town called Pacifica.  We were on the crest of the coastel hills right where Route 1 crosses over to go south along the coast.  It's also where the San Andreas crosses over and goes out to sea.  Not near there, right theres, within 100 feet of our apartment.  We were almost continuously in fog.  This was when I had my first corneal transplant and the fog saved me because I was so light sensitive.  The only problem I had was how often I stepped on snails that I couldn't see as I walked on the sidewalk!

@@@@

Of course, because they can’t. I just live in hope of seeing one person get the deer-in-the-headlights look as the meaning of the question sinks in. It is so false to claim the middle of the road when there is no left side to that road. Or to claim to be the body of an airplane that has only a right wing.

Oh I agree that he did himself in with the Corker press conference, but I don’t think it was suppressed. I don’t live in Tennessee, but Glenn Reynolds does and he made it appear that it did get a lot of local attention.
