Why would the authorities be checking radiation after a vehicle accident? Maybe a commercial carrier flying radioactive placards? Curious.

Why would the authorities be checking radiation after a vehicle accident? Maybe detectors are now placed judiciously around cities, and authorities can draw upon this data?

Has homeland security announced it wasnt terrorism yet? If not, they will shortly. Can't have the consumers not consuming. That would be bad for profit.

I’m thinking it’s from hospital equipment being moved by one of the vehicles involved in the accident.

Talking about the church shooting in Missouri. Fox Cable nothing. They just had their bad political satire show on prior to church shooting.

Has homeland security announced it wasnt terrorism yet?No, but Chertoff is griping about the negative impact on the Economy if we don't allow radioactive cars to crash too.

“Maybe police in high-risk areas have them as part of their uniform/belt now.”
There are some key fob sized automatic rad detectors out now that are quite afordable. It is possible these are being issued to those officers on the street who respond to accidents.
