I hate to go to those kind of dinners.....the BS is usually knee deep!
No, it should be good. It’s our company’s 10-year milestone and the boss is taking EVERYone out for steak dinners. Expensive restaurant and his house for cocktails/appetizers beforehand. He’s even flying in the west coast and midwest guys so they can attend. With spouses, except my spouse prefers to go to work (well the guys who are flying in won’t have spouses with them either). Then on Wednesday & Thursday boss is taking all the engineers to Atlantic City (thankfully I am not included in THAT! whew). He does the AC thing every year for the local guys, the dinner is special for the 10-year celebration.
