If Craig does what I think he should do and retires, I think the “heir apparent” would probably be Lt. Gov Jim Risch. The commie alternative in ‘08 for that seat would be Larry LaRocco, who will probably get beat like a drum again.

I won’t support Larry Craig for reelection, and I will not support Jim Risch to replace him. Risch’s support for the liberal former Governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney, disqualifies him.
