That's the way Hillary and her hero Saul Alinsky viewed liberals. It was the same way the Old Left – the Communist Party – viewed liberals.
Hillary quoted Alinsky in her thesis as explaining the difference between a liberal and a radical: "The liberal refuses to fight for the goals he professes."
I'm sure Hillary still sees herself today as a "radical." But she could never use that term and remain a viable politician. So she has adopted another term – "progressive" – which means the same thing to those in the know.
This is the favored term even today of the Communist Party. They don't call themselves liberals, either. They call themselves "progressives." They always have. Nothing has changed.

I’ve been saying this for years. Glad someone a little more famous with a wider audience finally is telling it like it is.
The only thing that ‘progressives’ like that can actually and honestly be defined as progressive is a progressive income tax whereby they can confiscate the wealth of the producers to give to the non-producers.

Anyone who uses Progressive Insurance on this forum should be banished. Same with GEICO (Buffett), and Costco.
The question is: what’s so “progressive” about the totalitarian rule, economic ruin, starvation and mass murder that invariably comes with socialism?

No, I believe its considered "progressive" to view the Constitution as a living document that must be changed to suit the times, you know, eliminate the 1st and 2nd amendment for starters.
Being classicaly liberal is exactly opposite to being so-called progressive .

The best analogy that comes to mind is
a can of coagulated Communist
wrapped in a label of “Socialist”
wrapped in a label of “Liberal”
wrapped in a label of “Progressive”
peel all the labels off, it’s still the same can.
And the same can be used for any group that changes its label because the previous one comes to be representative of the can that it covers.

we have to put it out there, PINKO COMMIE, is the terms I always heard growing up. don’t know what pinko means, but it sounds derrogatory, and she needs to be treated as such.
