That’s good. Acceptance is the first step toward recovery.

Hugh Hewitt detailed the DNC hit machine's long battle against Romney from years ago as Governor in preparation for a possible presidential run.

He devotes an entire section of his book on it. "Dec. 7, 2005 Shauna Daly deputy Research Director for the Democratic National Committee. “Any and all records of communication involving Mitt Romney since the year of his birth.”

They invented many of the common derogatory names you hear his detractors call him here on FR. Carmenker's Massresistance article about Mitt was front and center on their webpage for months. I'm just calling a spade a spade. If you use liberal material as your source here on FR to bash candidates you should be called on it.

Great analysis. You mention that the dems and MSM will attack any candidate. Your thesis is that Giuliani is the only candidate sure to fall to their attacks.

Are there any candidates with a realistic shot at winning the nomination who you think have a good chance of avoiding, or at least withstanding, the attack machine?

S.o.p. treatment by all major political machines for any major candidate. (So why would Mitt get a pass?)

If Hugh devoted a entire section of his book, he wasted his time and publisher space. I'm sure that DNC request was replicated for every candidate & potential candidate. (That passes for breakthru journalism?)

They invented many of the common derogatory names you hear his detractors call him here on FR.

Like what?

(Just kidding :) )

Well, liberal sources, if used by FREEPERS, should always be clearly id'd as such (so that folks can "consider the source").

Thanks for the compliment.

Based on his stable family life, Mitt Romney might be able to thwart the coming Democrat/media attacks. This assumes his financial successes don't have any serious 'questionable' activities attached. Romney's religion might hurt him with some but I'm guessing that the media won't press this 'issue' too hard, being worried about a backlash. I think he can make it a positive by demonstrating his domestic stability. Of course, his 'presidential' looks don't hurt, either. This is the TV age of politics.

And, by the way, the "Mitt Romney Deception" has been debunked.

ROFL...

It's mainly a collection of either quotes from Romney or straight reporting on his administration.

It's most certainly been spun, but not "debunked."

I dont know what a multiple is, but I go here once in a while when I have something to say or when I am bored.

Some stupid bulletin board is not the most important thing in my life.

Sorry I have other things to occupy my time.

I havent been on in a long time. I am starting up my own business. It is quite time-consuming. Interesting that you responded instantly. There are other things in life besides posting on bulletin boards.

I check my personal messages and headlines occasionally. I just happened to have found this, because it was highlighted in red at the top of the page. I have other things to do as well as you, and my time is just as valuable.

I’m still not sure exactly what your point is. Romney will get my vote if he is the nominee. I will support a conservative in the primary, however.

Fair enough. I will also vote for the Republican nominee. So we agree on something :)

LOL! Last week, I got pinged to a Nick Berg thread from a post I made a few year ago. Of course, the person wasn’t just touting a presidential candidate.

Actually, resurrecting old threads can be pretty entertaining because few look at the date of the thread and just start posting, LOL. Okay... it’s cheap fun. ;-)

But according to Mark Penn, 25% of Republican women are going to vote for Hillary because they know that having that second “x” chromosome and female plumbing is SO much more important than the treat of terrorism.

Don’t thank me! I thought our work was done, but the blood sucking vampires keep getting back up out of their caskets. Rudy and Hillary need a stake in their hearts. Oh, wait — they don’t have hearts!

Watching Giuliani navigate the political process is like watching a horror film festival.....he's got more sequels than Bela Lugosi.

He's been outed for porking his mistress on the taxpayers' dime then hiding the theft of servces in obscure city agencies. His driver, bodyguard and Police Commissioner and former business partner (in that order) is an admitted felon and is under federal charges of tax evasion and lying to the WH. Giuliani's secrecy about his multiple global businesses and his clients also served to sink his candidacy.

No matter how many stakes are driven into Rooty's presidential aspirations, the Rudester comes back from the dead, climbs out of his coffin with the same evil smirk, to wreak havoc on our political process again and again.

Rooty's got the resilience of Count Dracula and the resume of a calculating conman......not exactly star material for the White House.
