Scripturally, or not?
I'm convinced that the "end times" of Revelation, Matthew, and Daniel referred to the fall of Jerusalem to the Roman army in 70 AD. The Old Covenant (the old "heaven and earth"), which was based on sacrifices in the temple, was ended forever and replace by the completed New Covenant ("New Heaven and New Earth"), which continues today and forever.
My view is known as Preterism; for better information from real experts (I'm only an armchair theologian), google Preterism or go to preterist.org. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

That's how I started; it took me quite awhile to become convinced, and I still have some questions myself. I started out as a dispensational pre-mil/pre-trib a long time ago, but was never satisfied with it. I explored a few other views until landing on Preterism. I still think it's entirely possible to take scripture seriously and end up in any of the major views, but Preterism seems to me to have the smallest number of awkward passages to explain away.
i think most interpretations have some “stumbling blocks”. my default is the verses that talk about: the half has not been told; our minds can’t comprehend; i know the plans i have for you; your ways are not my ways, etc.
my pastor is a phd and he says he still learns stuff...
