Questiong here. Even if we brought our troops home, what would be the cost of maintaining them? Now, subtract that from what is being spent on them for the war. That is the true number. No matter what we do, if we want a strong military, we have to spend the money on them.

I do wonder what percent of the war/military cost is actually for the Iraq war?

Another factor to consider was the costs of the Saudi Arabia bases and the 24/7/365 flights to patrol the UN’s “No fly zones”.
That’s something you never hear the liberals mention either.
