The clothing is cheap, in both senses of the word. It is badly made. It fits me fine and looks good the first time I wear it, but does not stand up to laundering or dry cleaning. Substandard fabric, zippers die an early death, buttons pop off, seams not properly finished. Back to Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s. Sorry about your dwindling pithe helmet supplies. That must ruin your safaris!

I’m sick of open-borders traitors in my own party.

...... we may need Mel Martinez’s help more than ever.

Let'em find someone who can appeal to Hispanic's without supporting amnesty and continued invasion over our wide open borders. Martinez has a pretty solid conservative record on many isues, just on the immigration reform issue. Kick the bum out!

Didn't The Washington Times also have something like this?

Mel is a dishonest loser, somebody who lied big time to the voters.

We can only do so much , short of violence! Sugestion, I return all envelopes that are addressed back to any Repub. Org. that sends me a dunning letter. I shred what they send(requests for money/or questionaire)and retun it in their envelopes, that have prepaid postage. Also you can e-mail short and contrite messages to all of their offices. Let THEM know you are aware of their POSITIONS when they are not yours!!!SENOR MEL, VAMOOSE!!!!!

In his first speech after being elected to the chairmanship, Martinez said, “What I am going to do over the next two years is assist our Party in a renewal of the principles that have made us great: lower taxes, limited government, individual responsibility, freedom here and abroad, and the power of faith. I am going to carry those principles to the American people, explaining why the Republican way of doing things is the best way to solve America’s problems …. I am going to concentrate on talking about a Republican Party that is the party of optimism, the party of the future, the party that stands for solutions to the American people’s problems. I want to describe my passion for a Party that speaks to America’s hopes, aspirations, and dreams. I want to lead the Party of a bright future.”

Then he slammed the American public for not liking the immigration bill.

The return postage paid thing is old hat.

We need to be louder with regards to Mel.

He may be outreach to hispanics but his is burning the core.

I’m not as charged up about immigration issues as most here are, but I think Mel should resign from position of RNC chairman. We don’t need him attacking our candidates.

“After this immigration bill mess, we may need Mel Martinez’s help more than ever.

40% of the hispanics voted GOP in 2004 in 2006 the number had dropped to 10%.

Folks we need to get those votes back to win the White House and Congress again.”

That’s the kind of thinking that lost the Republicans the House and Senate.

The “do anything for votes” crowd is the one that has the party where it’s at today and it’s gonna take a purge of these types before we will ever get back the confidence of conservatives. Getting rid of the open border RHINOS will be a good start.

Bush appointed this guy without any thought of what it would do to the Pubbies.

Correction.........Bush appointed this guy to help push BUSH’S open border/amnesty proposal through.

Maybe so but Mel has been pushing against the base on this issue for a long time. No liberal rag has made him do that.

Yes, and it's sad he's the head of the RNC. But he is a lightening rod for controversy and the media will pick up anything he says to get conservatives and republicans going at each other. It's "divide and conquer."

Having said that, I see the guy for what he is--a RINO at best. He's one of my senators and I've sent him a copious amount of e-mails lately. It really pisses me off that I voted for the guy and I told his staffers just that. I'll be working hard to defeat him when his term is up.

This is why he shouldn’t be on the RNC, he doesn’t represent actual Republicans. I don’t know that he actually represents actual Cuban Americans, at least none that I know.

“He may be outreach to hispanics but his is burning the core.”

The idea that legal Hispanics want a open border and amnesty is a falsehood promoted by open border Republicans whom like the Dems, will do anything for votes.

The way to get conservative Hispanics and Blacks to vote for Republivans is to uphold conservative beliefs.....no matter what the cost.

Securing the border and and no amnesty stance is very popular among many “legal” Hispanics and blacks.

With Rove gone and Bush soon out, I hope the RNC will purge Mel and will no longer put votes above principle.

‘Sen. Mel Martinez, the head of the Republican National Committee, took a swipe Tuesday at the leading Republican presidential candidates for not offering solid solutions to America’s immigration crisis. ‘

Oh, thats just BRILLIANT, you idiot.

Here is Mel the Mouth, becoming sound bite number one for MSNBC, CNN, dailykos, and DU.

Brilliant, Mel, just brilliant.

Hey, I know, Mel!

Why not a press release saying the Iraq War was a mistake?

Since you seem to be into aiding and abetting dems and all these days.....

Damn. Doesn't anyone give a FReepr the benefit of the doubt anymore? See post 51 for a reply to your bandwagon call.

Either you understand the Media is drumming up conflict or you don't.

Is Senator Mel trying to hurt the Republican candidates? He sure isn’t helping them. Maybe he wants to assist Hillary! His ineptness might cost the Republicans the election. His very presence has caused many not to donate to RNC.

Absolutely true. Duncan Hunter has a stance on immigration at least as strong as Tancredo but he is well recieved by pro immigration groups. I suspect it has to do with the fact that he doesn't pander and they always know where he stands.
