The bill is completely stupid, but consider another possible consequence: you can't sell a gun that doesn't perform what the bill demands. If the gun makers can't satisfy the requirements of the bill, that eliminates the sale of any firearms requiring the technology. The bastards in Sacramento have been trying to invent a law that couldn't be satisfied by the gun makers for years. That stupid "drop test" and other destructive tests was intended to be impossible to satisfy.

it is like the concealed carry that is discretionary and the discretion is to issue ZERO.

Bingo. You got it. The socialists have been very upset that their “gun safety” extortion scheme didn’t eliminate more guns from legal sale in CA. This latest scheme is another attempt. I’m sure the company that owns the rights to this so-called micro-stamping gimmick is greasing the right palms as well.
