Suicide bomber kills Afghan governor, children

A suicide attacker blew himself up on Friday outside the house of a district governor in southern Afghanistan, killing the official and three of his children, police said.

The attacker blew himself up as Zahri district governor Khairuddin left his compound in the southern city of Kandahar to distribute food to the poor, a police officer told AFP.

Two of his sons and one of his daughters, all aged under 10, were also killed, said police officer Abdul Ghafar.

"All four were martyred immediately," he said, adding another son and daughter were wounded.

Khairuddin had a home in Kandhar city but was the administration chief of the nearby Zhari district, where some of the worst violence in the Al-Qaeda-linked Taliban's insurgency has taken place.

He was attacked as he was about to take part in the traditional slaughter of a sheep and distribution of its meat to the poor of the area.

The body of the suicide attacker was torn to pieces, with flesh flung onto walls and vehicles, an AFP reporter at the scene said.

Kandhar province is the birthplace of the Taliban militia, which carries out regular suicide and other attacks against Afghan officials and soldiers, as well as international troops in the country.

Since most terrorists and jihadists want to blow up we should assist them by controlling the location and blast coverage. Kind of like lighting their way to virginville.

THEY know where this guy came from ... MOAB the village ... unannounced.

The parents and friends/neighbors know about the guy .. they are complicit ... and by extension, the village is as well.

They take out innocent kids and we can't?

The phrase phuque you readily comes to mind.

that's the way to fight that needs to be done....will it be done? Nope, the press labels us or our allies as the "bad guys" but has movie stars getting down on their knees in front of these so called "men" and supporting terrorists and their leaders.

That's why the libs in this country and democrats in particular are part of the problem, they hope for anarchy in order to be the ruling class to "protect" us.

New York is so screwed up that they voted for hillary/chuckie the weasel and bloomberg without realizing the weakness is just an invitation to the islamo-facists. When they get hit again, they'll somehow blame Bush and the conservatives for the evil actions of muzzie fanatics.

I'm just waiting for the "big backlash" that is sure to come when the muzzies venture down south.....
