[I’m sorry but Tony wouldn’t have taken the job if it didn’t pay well enough. I fear for the worse.]

You don’t think the prestige of being asked to work for the President of the United States of America would not be a reason?

Poor guy can’t scape by on 168K a year.

Medical expenses for something like cancer can easily eat the money up, even on a salary like that.

If you live in an expensive city, it doesn’t go far.

I think Tony's a good guy, but as an open borders advocate and big supporter of "comprehensive" immigration reform (amnesty), it must have been hard on him, as I'm sure it was on the President, to see that the vast majority of Americans strongly and vociferously opposed you.

I'm sure he considered the finances when he took the job so I don't think that's the real reason. I don't agree with Tony on some issues, but I sure hope his health isn't deteriorating.

You ever had to endure and pay for cancer treatment? Insurance, yeah I know all that. Geez!

Not after making 2 Million. Maybe he wants to reserve the wealth for his family if something happens to him. God bless him he looks like he aged 40 years.

Two media people I like most, Brit Hume and Tony Snow.

Loved the fact they were on the same channel and it looks like it'll be that way again.

..........$168K would be a presidential salary just seven or eight years ago. Not too shabby, if you ask me...........

Yeah, but then the President gets a housing allowance, a meal allowance, free travel, free medical, and a not too shabby retirement package.

“Put into perspective, $168K would be a presidential salary just seven or eight years ago. Not too shabby, if you ask me”

Sure its a nice salary but considering is the main voice for the leader of the free world its really a bargain price. That and DC is an extremely expensive city.

He should just be allowed to get on the congressional health care gravy train and he won’t have a thing to worry about.

Yeah, what a stupid comment. $168,000 doesn't go very far in the DC area, especially if you have a family to support.

Chemotherapy is definitely taking its toll on him though. I hope Tony recovers and manages to get back into his old jobs on Fox and on the radio.

It is very expensive to live and work in the Washington, DC area.

I had an opportunity to go to Washington to work as a staffer or Office Manager for a congresscritter should he wins the election. He didn’t.

Even the congresscritters are having a hard time because they have to maintain a home in their district plus some form of living in Washington. So many are dependent on outside sources of cash hence the all that corruption.

I understand very well Tony’s financial problems.

I agree. What’s he going to do, become a conservative talk show host again railing against illegal immigration?

He said that his cancer is not life threatening and in fact his last chemo is today. They are treating it aggressively, which is why he looks worn, because the cocktail is very strong.

IIRC, there are three different ones each time.
