Clinton candidacy lacks premise

Recently I spent two back-to-back days interviewing voters the old-fashioned way — in person, face to face, and one by one. These short, confidential, and relatively unstructured interviews were primarily devoted to exploration of a ballot measure that Florida voters may decide in November 2008. But as a warm-up to each dialogue, I asked about the forthcoming presidential contest. The interviews — conducted in two Democratic-leaning counties — initially seemed to suggest that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) is a shoo-in. Even most of the Republicans whom I spoke with seemed inclined to vote for her. But on further reflection, I am not so sure of her advantage. The absence of a central premise for her candidacy may be a fatal flaw in her bid for the presidency.

apparently voters are responding to Hillary out of familiarity. One of her husbands first rules was "do not let anyone else define you". By not defining herself she is allowing us (hopefully) to define her.

Can someone name just one GOOD thing that Hillary has ever done for this country? She believes in killing babies. She believes in pure communism. She denies our troops what they need including moral support AFTER voting to go to war. She has a __________ for a husband with a disgraceful record "which he is proud of" and apparently, she is too because she is still with them.

Add in Foster, Brown and all the other little "missings".

This election isn't for you and me, it's all about Hillary...same MO as Bubba.

Of course her candidacy has a premise. It's just that she cannot say what it is.

Article goes on to state:
“One particularly interesting set of comments focused on the angle of her candidacy as a symbol for change. These voters mentioned her gender, of course, and their sense that it’s time for the first-ever female president. But even as some characterized her as an agent of change, they seemed embarrassed to admit that she is also a status quo candidate. Like the Bushes, the Clintons are hardly a novelty, some thought aloud.”

This guy must have found the most shallow voters in the nation if they feel they will vote for her because of her gender or as an agent of change. The entire article seems a little fishy to me, almost as if he simply put it together to pen his own thoughts. I also doubt that Pubs were going to vote for her.

Who cares what David Hill thinks? I found his statement, “Even most of the Republicans whom I spoke with seemed inclined to vote for her.” to defy logic and the consensus of the polls that Hillary has very high negatives. I just don’t believe that “most” Reps are inclined to vote for her. Hill must have spoken to some very rare “Reps.”

I can’t wait until her minions suggest that it be “unfair” to drag Bill Clinton into the debate of her candidacy.

My guess is he was interviewing in South east Florida where they move from New York. I think Hillary has a New York style personality and I think they relate to it. I too think Hilary should be an easy take down. On the other hand a lot of upstate voter seem to like ether too which is puzzling and a little worry some.

I don’t care in what state or part of the state that Hill was doing his interviewing, any real Rep starts foaming at the mouth at any mention of Hillary as President. I grew up in NY. As Edwards said you either hate her or love her. There is no in between. The vast, overwhelming majority of Reps hate her, which is why I don’t believe the author.

Hill was interviewing women from the "Fat, ugly, lesbian convention".

Interesting, this “journalist” actually admits he’s going to write an article on a ballot measure, and is cherry-picking where he get interviewees from...

The premise of her campaign is that she wants to be president. (Actually, she thinks she deserves the job, but let's not quibble.)

She’s a liar and a thief, two reasons not to vote for her. Ever. Amoral, immoral, evil, opportunistic, vicious, obnoxious, married to a sociopath, she learned everything at his knee. Given the keys to the WH, she’d be the ruin of this great nation.

Her premise is that she will fight the VRWC. Ironically, it’s fractures (i.e., moral purists) in the VRWC that will get her elected. At least they can say they stood for their principles as the nation slides into socialist mind control.

Makes a nice epitaph, doesn’t it?
