Fred Thompson Works Fair Like Candidate (Says "stay the course" in Iraq)

I have read several of your posts about Fred at the state fair. Thank you for the reports. It is nice to hear from someone who was there [and isn’t a journalist].

Tomorrow, August 19th, is Fred Thompsons Birthday! Happy Birthday Fred! I hope the MSM will stop attacking him for one day, but I’m not holding my breath! LOL!

I went with an open mind. I knew I liked him but in Iowa, they must pass scrutiny. We meet all of them many times. Some here on FR had partially succeeded in putting doubts in my mind but first I watched (and heard) his interview on the Mickelson show. During a commercial, he turned toward us and and gave a thumbs-up sign. We smiled and gave him thumbs up back. We wanted to encourage him.

But then he really gave a very good speech later. That was when I was really impressed.

I have a very good friend who is a lawmaker and also on the NRA board. He told me he thinks the NRA will endorse Fred.
