Excerpt:
Of others seeking the presidency, Representative Duncan Hunter, Republican of California, talks often on the stump about his son, Duncan Jr., who served two tours in Iraq with the Marines and is on his third in Afghanistan.
I think its valuable to have a commander in chief who can look the American people in the eye and say, Were all in this together, said Mr. Hunter, who is a Vietnam veteran.

I agree with you. There is a nobility and unspoken praise for parents whose children would choose to serve in the military - like Hunter’s. Altho it’s the individual’s choice, parents do impart something into the decision process.
GO HUNTER!
I think its valuable to have a commander in chief who can look the American people in the eye and say, Were all in this together, said Mr. Hunter, who is a Vietnam veteran.
If nothing else, it might give Mr. Hunter some more credibility with the American people. His son's directly involved in our fight, too. Duncan Hunter himself served honorably, in the 75th Rangers no less. And according to wikipedia, he enlisted (as opposed to being drafted).

Another reason to support Duncan Hunter! His son even fought in the very dangerous Fallujah!
With Duncan Hunter as president, the left can’t dupe less astute folks, into saying his child wouldn’t go to war, because Hunter’s child did/is serving three tours.
