See, what I find funny is the inherent contradiction in the Islamic Jesus’s message.
Islamic Jesus is a prophet, whereas Christian Jesus is the Son of God.
The Koran mocks Jews and Gentiles who called Jesus the Son of God, even though Jesus was the one who said these things.
Now here’s the kicker: since Jesus is a prophet in Islam, His word is truth. ALL OF IT.
And He said He was the Son of God.
In other words, He was either a liar (thus making His natue as an Islamic prophet very suspect)...or He WAS the Son of God, because His word is truth.
Jesus is in their book. Mohammad isn’t in ours. This isn’t just some random survey of what Muslims think about Jesus. It’s an analysis of Jesus as a character in the Koran.
At that point, it will be very important to remember who the appeasers were.
If you're suggesting that Christianity is not false because it's been around for 2000 years and won out in the marketplace of ideas, that's not true at all. You can believe in Jesus as the Messiah, but Christianity became the dominant religion it is because other religions were outlawed (beginning with Constantine, who wasn't much of an actual Christian-- he did pretty much wanted he wanted and then got baptized basically on his death bed). If you believed in something else, including for Jews, you were brutally persecuted legally by the state (mob violence against other believers was even acceptable).
You forgot "OR...the CHRISTIANS reported that Jesus claimed to be Son of God, but He never did."
Which, funny enough, is not a contradiction...and seems to be exactly what is believed. For example, as was posted above by F15Eagle: ....the Christians call Christ the Son Of God. That is a saying from their mouth; (In this) they but intimate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allahs curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth. - Koran 9: 30
The following is a description (slightly modified) from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat. www.frontline.org.za/books_videos/sti.htm
As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness.
At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs [Europe, Australia, USA and Japan]. Six percent of US prison inmates are Muslim. Like any other minority, they wont integrate, but work to build their own separate community.
From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. South Africa's Muslim population is 2%, but they control 35% of the businesses, a large percentage of the banks and have five Cabinet seats while Christians (77% of the population) have none.
They will push for the introduction of halaal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves (along with threats for failure to comply).
At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia; Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world, but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.
When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. (Ei: car-burnings in France last October.) Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats.
After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning (India, Mindanao, Philippines).
At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare [Indonesia].
From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya (infidel tax). (Sudan, Kosovo, Lebanon and Egypt).
After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide [Western Papua (New Guinea), Iran, Biafra, Turkey and North Nigeria].
100% will usher in the peace of "Dar-es-Salaam" - House of Peace - as in Saudi Arabia, Libya and Yemen.
Anyone see the other story about the BBC scrapping a show for the series “Casualty” about a bomb attack by Muslim terrorists, because they didn’t want to offend Muslims?

HE IS: speak about Him as an ACTUAL PERSON
Islam is the beast in Revelation.
Sure looks that way.
Rev 13:11: Then I saw another beast coming up from the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but was speaking like a dragon.
This is from a letter I wrote to a newsroom:
According to Surah 2:177, A Muslim must accept all these things:
It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces to the East and the West; but righteous is he who believeth in Allah and the Last Day and the angels and the Scripture and the prophetsThe Last Day is the most important thing after belief in Allah.
The Last Day consists of the coming of the Imam Mahdi along with the appearance of the Muslim Jesus. For the Last Day to come, the Muslims must go to war and slaughter the Jews
The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews. But the Muslims dont stop there.. once thats accomplished:
al-Mahdi will receive a pledge of allegiance as a caliph for Muslims. He will lead Muslims in many battles of jihad. His reign will be a caliphate that follows the guidance of the Prophet. Many battles will ensue between Muslims and the disbelievers during the Mahdis reignHarun Yahya, a moderate and very popular Muslim author refers to the Mahdis invasion of numerous non-Muslim lands:
The Mahdi will invade all the places between East and West.In todays world.. non-Muslims are not killed or forced to convert if they pay the Jizya in Muslim lands and agree to live as dhimmis. Well apparently even that wonderful option will be eliminated during the Muslim Last Day. Im assuming the pigs in this quote means Jews.
Volume 3, Book 43, Number 656: Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you as a just ruler, he will break the cross, kill the pigs, and abolish the Jizya tax. Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it (as charitable gifts).Ahmad ibn Naqib al-Misri (d. 1368) from The Reliance of the Traveller, the classic Shafi manual of Islamic jurisprudence states:
"... the time and the place for [the poll tax] is before the final descent of Jesus (upon whom be peace). After his final coming, nothing but Islam will be accepted from them, for taking the poll tax is only effective until Jesus' descent (upon him and our Prophet be peace) ..."Ayatollah Ibrahim Amini clearly articulates this vision:
The Mahdi will offer the religion of Islam to the Jews and Christians; if they accept it they will be spared, otherwise they will be killed.Sheikh Kabbani, Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of America clearly articulates the Islamic perspective regarding Jesus evangelistic role when He returns.
Like all prophets, Prophet Jesus came with the divine message of surrender to God Almighty, which is Islam. This verse shows that when Jesus returns he will personally correct the misrepresentations and misinterpretations about himself. He will affirm the true message that he brought in his time as a prophet, and that he never claimed to be the Son of God. Furthermore, he will reaffirm in his second coming what he prophesied in his first coming bearing witness to the seal of the Messengers, Prophet Muhammad. In his second coming many non-Muslims will accept Jesus as a servant of Allah Almighty, as a Muslim and a member of the Community of Muhammad.Al-Sadr and Mutahhari, likewise articulate this same expectation:
Jesus will descend from heaven and espouse the cause of the Mahdi. The Christians and the Jews will see him and recognize his true status. The Christians will abandon their faith in his godhead (sic).

Summary
Now lets review the various defining characteristics and actions of the Muslim Jesus upon his return to the earth:
1. Jesus is said to return to the earth in the last-days near a mosque in Damascus.
2. He will arrive at a time when the Mahdi and his army will be preparing to pray.
3. He will be offered to lead the prayer by the Mahdi, but will decline in direct deference to the Mahdi who Jesus declares to be the leader of the Muslims.
4. He will then pray behind the Mahdi as a subordinate.
5. He will be a faithful Muslim
6. He will make pilgrimage to Mecca.
7. He will visit Muhammads grave, and salute Muhammad, whereby Muhammad will return the salute from the grave.
8. He will destroy Christianity.
9. He will repeal the jizyah tax thus causing the only option for Jews and Christians to convert to Islam or die.
10. He will establish Islamic Shariah (Law) throughout the entire earth.
11. He will kill the Antichrist and his followers made up largely of Jews and women.
12. He will remain on the earth for roughly forty years, during which time he will marry, have children and then die.
>.....or He was the Son of God, because His word is truth.<
I always say the Truth is the truth and there is no other Truth. Others might say the truth is the Truth and there is no other truth. There is an enormous difference.
Meanwhile back in the states.....
Now there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man; for he was a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of the Jews and many of the Gentiles. He was [the] Christ. And when Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men amongst us, had condemned him to the cross, (9) those that loved him at the first did not forsake him; for he appeared to them alive again the third day; (10) as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him. And the tribe of Christians, so named from him, are not extinct at this day.
