ITV, which is Britains second largest broadcaster after the BBC, is to bring us the following program, presented by (Lord) Melvyn Bragg, one of the leading lights of British television:
There was no manger, Christ is not the Messiah, and the crucifixion never happened. A forthcoming ITV documentary will portray Jesus as Muslims see him. With the Koran as a main source and drawing on interviews with scholars and historians, the Muslim Jesus explores how Islam honors Christ as a prophet but not as the son of God.
The one-hour special, commissioned and narrated by Melvyn Bragg, is thought to be the first time the subject has been dealt with on British television He denies the program will divide communities. Raised as an Anglican, he describes the documentary as thoughtful and well researched. I hope it will provoke among Muslims the feeling they are included in television.
As Patrick Sookhdeo, an Anglican canon, said of the program: How would the Muslim community respond if ITV made a program challenging Muhammad as the last prophet?
The usual way. They’d riot and burn things.
More interesting to me is the koran’s treatment of Jews other than Jesus. ITV, you up for that?
Partial credit.
You forgot, "threaten to kill people."
Here’s a really good example of a useful idiot. This guy is perfectly willing to trash the icon of the Christians, in an effort to impress a people who see Jesus like this as a regular course, and are intent on getting the rest of us to see Him that way too.
What’s left for the lunatic Muslem to do, when some on our side are more than willing to do it for them?
Even this is eclipsed by the attempt last week to get us all to refer to God as Allah. Simply incredible...
This crap is more then tiresome.
Uhm? What do you mean "threaten"?
I think they'd do more than just threaten.

“Even this is eclipsed by the attempt last week to get us all to refer to God as Allah. Simply incredible...”
I agree it makes no sense. Allah is an Arabic term (also used by Arabic Christians BTW), God is English.
As for the documentary, in priciple I have no problem with this provided it is handled in the context of being another world veiw not an attempt at prosthelysing.
To be fair, Bragg, despite being a roaring socialist, did make an excellent documentary about the English language.
Whose going to bite the dirt first? France or Britain?
Regards
And the actual killing of people, mustn’t forget that now.
I understand what you are saying Dave, but I don’t see any reason to explain how Muslims see Jesus. I certainly wouldn’t request of them to explain to the Muslim faithful how we see Allah. IMO, it would be silly to do so.
Coming next year to a theater near you: “Hitler was a man of peace”.
Muslim account - a “revelation” by a man of violence several hundreds of years later.
Christian account, written by Luke, a physician:
“SINCE many have undertaken to put in order and draw up a narrative of the surely established deeds which have been accomplished and fulfilled in and among us,
Exactly as they were handed down to us by those who from the official beginning [of Jesus’ ministry] were eyewitnesses and ministers of the Word [that is, of the doctrine concerning the attainment through Christ of salvation in the kingdom of God],
It seemed good and desirable to me, also after having searched out diligently and followed all things closely and traced accurately the course from the highest to the minutest detail from the very first, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus,
that you may know the full truth and understand with certainty and security against error the accounts (histories) and doctrines of the faith of which you have been informed and in which you have been instructed.”
It is all well and good if they want to produce a show that depicts the Muslim view of Jesus. However, don’t expect a documentary that features Christian or Jewish scholars who claim that Mohammad was not a prophet, the Koran was not inspired by God, etc. That would be “hate speach” and anyone suggesting such a thing would no doubt face serious prison time. Assuming the Islamists did not kill the “heretic” first. And we are supposed to pretend there are no double-standards.
This is why the internet is very important to get the truth out about what Islam is all about and its dangers.
The 4 gospels proved once and for all the true picture of who Jesus is. This is why the good news of the Christian faith has gone fourth over the centuries and this no false prophet or false faith can beat.
