So, have you heard the latest? Your business records can now be taken away by Big Brother without a warrant, thanks to that Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act-reform bill Darth Bush — an unstoppable force of nature with 30-percent approval ratings — just slammed through the notorious wallflower also known as the Democratic Congress. Yup, all the government has to do is pretend it needs your records — or your phone calls, or even your person — for a national-security investigation of someone overseas and — Presto! — your privacy rights are shredded.

It must be true. After all, it’s in the New York Times.

There has to be a connection to overseas. I have no such ties. The premise that they want or need my records or could even care about them is STUPID.

You’re kinda missing the point, aren’t you? This doesn’t effect the “Norm” of our society. We’re looking explicitly for bad guys.

As far as I’m concerned, any exchange, be it material or electronic, that crosses our border is subject to federal inspection. Thats what borders are for. If you want to do international business there are good reasons for allowing the authorities to have access. There is nothing really new about this concept.

NY Slimes must be nervous that their traitorous tactics may be exposed.Doing whatever they can to undermine National Security under the guise of “news”,methinks they have an inkling that the Gov.may be closing in on their sources.I.E.,leaked information from subversive elements who have access to classified documents that should remain as such.It is almost comical that our elected officials feel they need more secret briefings to do their job, when they have proven time and again they can not keep their yaps shut.Leaky Leahy[sp] comes to mind. The poster boy for exclusion in sensitive matters.
