Washington DC – An abundance of new peer-reviewed studies, analysis, and data error discoveries in the last several months has prompted scientists to declare that fear of catastrophic man-made global warming “bites the dust” and the scientific underpinnings for alarm may be “falling apart.”

This will not slow them down. Facts have never slowed them down. They live on perception and fear...

and hatred of Bush. That’s it. They live on perception and fear and hatred of Bush...

and redistribution of wealth by any means. Yes, they live on perception and fear and hatred of Bush, and redistribution of wealth by any means...

Global Warming = Abrupt Climate Change = a 21st century scam that may have run it’s course. As real scientists come out with the truth, AlGore and his acolytes seem to be fading fast. One can only hope that this is a trend that will continue and intensify.

Darn. And here I was all ready to start attacking people for drinking soft drinks, which are heavily carbonated.

I wanted everyone to stop drinking cola’s and everything, cause, you know, like, it’s bad for the planet.

Every time you open a Coke, you’re, like, dump[ing all this CO2 into the atmosphere.

And now you’re telling me to drink as many Pepsi’s as I want.

No, I think this will slow "them" down, insofar as being able to push through any really meaningful legislation.

Consider the real economic pain that would result from a strong law to, say, force people to reduce CO2 emissions to some Kyoto-style quota.

Now tell a legislator that it will not be necessary for them to inflict such pain ... and thus, said legislator will not have to face the electoral music for making a vote that hurts his constituents.

I think most politicians are cowards, when it comes to things that effect their election chances. This takes the heat off them to Do Something Drastic ... and they'll grab it with both hands.

One day Al Gore’s stupid movie will be viewed like those silly films from the 50s that depicted nuclear war in a cartoonish manner, with school kids instructed to take cover beneath their desks.

Like a deranged terrier, the global warming devotees and politicians will be growling and shaking this looooong after it is dead.

How long has it been since DDT was discovered to be not so bad?

How long did it take to get rid of the Spanish-American war tax on our phone bills?

That was a useless solution to a real problem. Here we have a grotesque solution to a nonexistent problem. Think along the lines of "Night of the Living Dead" or "Plan 9 From Outer Space" if you want make a comparison. This was a grand scheme to suck the life out of the developed nations by convincing them they were guilty of destroying the earth and had to pay penance in the form of carbon credits or some such idiocy. I hope we have been spared the zombification of the developed world.

OK. You have better comparisons.

I just hope Al Gore proclaims that the Global Emergency has ended.

I’d cast “The Blob” as Increased Climactic Diversity (aka Climate Change aka Gorebal Warning).
