WASHINGTON: George Tenet, the former head of the Central Intelligence Agency, recognized the danger posed by Al Qaeda well before the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, but failed to adequately prepare the CIA to meet the threat, according to an internal agency report that was released in summary form Tuesday.

The problems at the CIA are much bigger than one man.

“The problems at he CIA are larger than one man.”

No argument with that vacuous statement -- as it stands. However, unquestionably, the politically tainted incompetence, self-serving vanity, and clear lack of effective leadership skills — all of which are a hallmark of Cry-Baby Tenet — collectively provided the void at the top that cried for summary redress.

Just think about it: Bush even awarded the National Medal of Freedom to this turkey, when, instead, Tenet should have been cashiered the day following the first Bush Inauguration — January, 2001!

These Clintonites (and many of them holdovers) served the Nation with tragic ineptness, bordering on criminal incompetence.

Burger and Tenet ! No wonder !!!

Strange there is no mention of DCI’s boss in this report!

Oh I don’t disagree.

Tenet is just the tip of the iceberg...

What’s worse if Bush’s father once ran the CIA and should have known better.

I just find it amusing that the CIA creates a “report” to blame its incompetence on its ex-leader like that’s all there was to it...

I do have to disagree that it was “vacuous” statement though...
