Environmentalists win White House suit

SAN FRANCISCO - A federal judge ordered the Bush administration to issue two scientific reports on global warming, siding with environmentalists who sued the White House for failing to produce the documents.

U.S. District Court Judge Saundra Armstrong ruled Tuesday that the Bush administration had violated a 1990 law when it failed to meet deadlines for an updated U.S. climate change research plan and impact assessment.

...

The plaintiffs — the Center for Biological Diversity, Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace — said the ruling was a rebuke to an administration that has systematically denied and suppressed information on global warming.

"It's a huge victory holding the administration accountable for its attempts to suppress science," said Kassie Siegel, an attorney for the Center for Biological Diversity, one of the plaintiffs that filed suit in Oakland federal court in November.

Oh brother! Can you even believe this! I hope the Bush Admin shows them the CORRECTED GISS data that James Hansen of NASA originally fudged that now shows that 1998 was not the hottest year on record. And I hope the Bush Admin shows them the recent studies by prestigious scholars that dispute man-made global warming such as the recent project, called "Heat Capacity, Time Constant, and Sensitivity of Earth's Climate System," authored by Brookhaven National lab scientist Stephen Schwartz.

The judge set a May 31 deadline to produce a national assessment containing the most recent scientific data on global warming and its projected effects on the country's environment, economy and public health.

Surely a report that was assembled in 2003 does not contain the most recent information and doesn't comport with the stipulations of the judge's order requiring same. The old report should be scrapped and the latest information should be compiled and reported.

The Communoliberals have sleeper judges and sleeper courts all over the country, just waiting for any opportunity to serve their masters in their agenda to destroy this Republic and everything we stand for.

Seems the Communoliberals also have a bottomless pit of money for bringing frivolous law suit after frivolous law suit to tie up in court and bankrupt everyone or any entity that dares to stand between them and the fruition of their anti-American agenda.

Liberal Judges have turned our Courts into malignant cancers that are trashing our Constitution, that they vowed to defend at their swearing in ceremonies.

This is treason!

“I hope the Bush Admin shows them the CORRECTED GISS data...”

Does anyone recall, how many times the Bush Administration has defended itself (read: conservatives) against the liberal onslaught and Clinton appointed judges? It seems to me that the number is extremely low. So, I will not be holding my breath on this one.

So a lower judicial branch court can “order” the White House to do its bidding?

So what’s next, “ORDER” the White House to pull out of Iraq? “ORDER” Bush to Resign? “Order” Rove to be Indicted for imaginary crimes? What else is the legislative branch allowed to “ORDER” of the executive branch?

I cannot imagine how this “legal” ruling has any effect in the real world. And isn’t is sad that these yahoos have no recourse but to try to impose their will on others through the force of the judiciary?

Thanks for the pings.
