I believe, wholeheartedly, that the frustration is due to the lack of a true conservative candidate who has ascended in the race so far. I know Duncan Hunter is out there, but when was the last time anyone heard any press on him other than FR?
Liberals have hijacked our election process. To the point where they can thrust maniacs like McCain and RINOs like Guiliani upon us as if they were viable conservative candidates.
Perhaps Duncan Hunter will be able to get his name out there, but for now he appears to be shut out. The liberal media isn't going to help him any.
As far as Fred Thompson, we'll see what comes about when he announces. Maybe he is or he isn't "all that", but I'm confident if he "comes close", the conservative storm will be impressive.

Every time he gets a national audience [twice on FOX], he does the same thing: He talks about the border, but not in the context of a Hunter presidency. He never talks about his candidacy. His wife talks about their son's candidacy--not her husband's. He doesn't want to be president, and she doesn't want to be a president's wife. That's how it looks to me.
Hunter's inabilibty to "break out" isn't the MSM's fault, it's his.
