Still it’s incumbent upon the essay-writer to suggest a solution(s) to the problem exposed.

I have one. There should be assimilation centers set up around the U.S. for the express purpose of teaching English and American history and culture to immigrants. No public funding should go to any group which exists to assist only one group of immigrants or to any group which promotes “accomodation without assimilation” as described in one of the above links.

The last paragraph is their recommended action:

Ohio taxpayers, too, should be aware of this situation as they pour millions into the two existing schools, and while Ahmad Al-Akhras and his fellow educational warlords have incorporated yet another school, Eastside Academy, in the hopes of expanding their enterprise. Evidence suggests that the Somali refugee community would be better served by having their children in public schools, where they would be able to get the academic attention and assistance they needed to academically compete with their peers, instead of being pawns in service to an Islamic extremist cultural agenda. And while some of the families have understandably walked away from the program, all of the students surely deserve better.

Unfortunately, when the citizens rise up and demand that the State stop funding and supporting these schools, the people like Mayor Michael Coleman (Mayor of Columbus) will use this as the excuse to close down all of the other good Charter Schools. Of course, these schools will somehow be spared. Ohio Politics at its best!
