I was a delegate, but why should I go and spend many hundreds of dollars to listen to 1% candidates? If they wanted good representation they should have mailed a ballot to all former delegates with return postage.
Sorry, but it appears this event will be a total flop. It’s no where near representative of primary voters in Texas.

But all in all I doubt it will have much impact no matter the winner, be it lower tier, off the wall or top tier.
Let me tell you why you should: Especially in an election like this, when many of the top tier candidates have serious questions, it's important to look at all of the candidates in the race. We're lucky this year to have a batch of decent "also rans" with solid platforms. Also, you note that few people will be voting-- well, that would make your vote all the more powerful in the poll's importance. Regarding your assertion that it would be a "flop," well, Ames was nowhere near "representative" of the populace of Iowa with all the supporters being bussed in from all over the state and the moneyball, but people still considered that an important piece of the campaign, especially Huckabee.
In summary, go out and vote, even if it is meaningless. An impressive finish by a so-called "also ran" could give a much-needed jumpstart to one of the struggling campaigns.
Go and vote Hunter.
