Is Moscow's Support for Serbia Stance Paying Off?
Wall Street Journal ^ | August 23, 2007 | MARC CHAMPION

After winning a delay in the diplomatic push to grant Kosovo independence from Serbia, Russia looks likely to win some major Serbian companies, too, sparking claims that the Balkan country is trading economic assets and influence for diplomatic support.

Over the months to come, Serbia plans to privatize its state energy company, . . . Serbia's government recently decided to reopen a tender for the country's largest copper mine, RTB Bor, following lobbying from Russian metals tycoon Oleg Deripaska and President Vladimir Putin, according to people familiar with the matter.

Three things I’d like to see happen on a single day, about a month prior to the elections next year: The Christian majority in America pull ALL of its children out of the public schools; an asteroid strike out rogue state department and annihilate it; and Serbian tanks roll into Kosovo.

Yes - as if some misguided European power had intervened for the Confederacy.

Russia has been the main patron of Serbia since Serbia was part of the Ottoman Empire, protecting the Slavic Orthodox state in the Balkans. Greece naturally was Greek and Orthodox; Romania was Celtic, Orthodox, and Romance speaking; Croatia and Slovenia were Slavic but Catholic; and Bulgaria was Serbia's 'little brother', being both Slavic and Orthodox. The west supported Greece, Austria included Croatia, Romania and Slovenia, Russia supported Serbia and Bulgaria. These alignments have continued with little change for nearly 300 years.

The question is : Is American support to Islamofascists paying off, and to whom?

Methinks that because of Kosovo, American Century will last four decades, the most. First decade is the preview of coming attractions.

Because of savage bombing of Serbia in 1999:

India went nuclear
Putin and his team of cold war professionals came to power instead of drunken sailor Yeltsin
Russia, China, India and Iran created informal Eurasian defense bloc. China and India finance Russia, Russia supplies them with advanced weaponry, Russian fleet guards Chinese interests until Chicoms build the fleet of their own, and Chicoms arm Iran. Those four countries are usually at each other's throat, but they got united
This is the result of Geniuses of PNAC at work - they squandered Cold War victory and made a plan how to sink America.

No wonder, their ideology is based on Philosophy of Deception by Leo Strauss.

Probably the greatest diplomatic blunder in recent times has been...

You're right about Constantinople and other things ancient, but the Russo-American alliance and a replica Marshall Plan for the Soviet Union is a pipe dream.

It didn't and couldn't happen not because of any American diplomatic blunder but because of the nature of the Russian political system and, most important, because of the Russian mentality.

Eastern Orthodox Church of Russia was and still is a department of the KGB. The “new” Patriarch had a KGB rank of colonel (Putin was “just” a lieutenant colonel).
