The cosmic blank spot has no stray stars, no galaxies, no sucking black holes, not even mysterious dark matter.
It is 1 billion light years across of nothing.
Wow! A cosmic representation of what happens when socialists take over!

How about it is caused by Global Warming!
I would take that phrase any day, repeatedly, and for years to come over the most over-used and non-clever post that I won't even mention again. Thank you.

“That’s original. There’s at least one of these “it’s Bush’s fault” on every thread now, for the last 3 years and it’s really, really, really old. Come up with something new if you bother posting.”
Ok then “Its Cheney’s fault” :)

...Mythical big bang....Obviously barring inflation then, what's your hypothesis?

Like something out of The Farside - “The Big Bang” overshadowing it’s lesser known twin “The Big Nothing”

Galaxies are known to be arranged in a “bubble” pattern - string of mater, starts and galaxies surrounding bubbles of empty space. This is not a new idea.

An empty area of the universe doesn’t defy physics at all. Otherwise it wouldn’t exist, you see.

That is true, this has been known for many years and remains a contentious area of discussion.
If folks click on the keyword ‘black holes’, FR has a few earlier threads on the topic.

He used to enjoy talking about nothing and that there still has to be something. He probably is working in some sort of scientific field.Actually their is study into nothingness and it pertains to what may have been prior to the big bang. In my extremely limited understanding, "nothing" is thought to be an unstable state in which the big bang could have arisen from.

That also goes for every other aspect of creation.
